Creating sculptures is fun. In this sculpture making class you’ll learn different sculpture terms which will guide you in creating a completely 3-Dimensional sculpture which is pierced, convex, concave, and textured. We’ll work with modeling clay to get a feel for the type of abstract sculptures that are possible as practice. We’ll move on to a simple way to create the beginning form of a handheld plaster sculpture. Using different tools, we’ll begin carving and excavating to contour the form in interesting ways. Last, we’ll give it a metallic finish to accent the form with shine and shadows!
